From wood to pulp to pulp, paper, and paper products

The papermaking industry is a typical long-chain, asset-heavy, long-cycle industry with diverse needs: the typical papermaking industry chain is "treeing various types of paper downstream of papermaking." Among them, the cultivation of rapid papermaking forests requires reserved forest land and cultivation, and the tree maturity cycle is long, with production of at least 5 years; the production of paper pulp and machine-made paper requires the purchase of large-scale papermaking equipment, which takes about 2-3 years; downstream demand will increase after China's rapid growth stage Slow down, and cycles gradually replace growth.

According to the national economic industry classification standards, the papermaking industry mainly refers to papermaking and paper product manufacturing, including paper pulp manufacturing, papermaking, and paper products manufacturing; therefore, papermaking is closely related to forestry, agriculture, printing, packaging, machinery manufacturing, and chemical industry. , environmental protection and other basic industries are closely related. Generally speaking, the paper industry has the characteristics of intensive technical capital, significant scale effect, high resource dependence and consumption, and relatively dispersed industrial concentration.

     1. Timber

According to plant classification, wood can be divided into two categories: softwood or coniferous trees. Angiosperms are called hardwoods or broadleaf trees, or deciduous or evergreen trees.

Commonly used softwood papermaking materials include: Scandinavian pine, radiata pine, southern pine, redwood, young pine, cedar (ceder), hemlock, white pine, white spruce, black fir, Douglas pine, larch, balsam cold Pine, mountain fir, etc.

Commonly used hardwood papermaking materials include: eucalyptus, acacia, poplar, birch, maple, etc.

     2. Paper paddle

Paper pulp is a fiber material made from plant fiber as raw material and processed through different processing methods. It can be divided into various subdivisions according to the source of raw materials, processing methods, and degree of processing, and can be widely used in papermaking, synthetic fibers, plastics, chemicals and other fields.

Paper pulp is mainly divided into wood pulp, waste paper pulp and non-wood pulp according to the source of raw materials. Wood pulp is divided into two categories: coniferous pulp (including masson pine, larch, red pine, spruce and other tree species) and broadleaf pulp (including birch, poplar, basswood, eucalyptus, maple and other tree species). Generally, needle pulp Leaf pulp has stronger toughness and stretchability than broadleaf pulp, so when using wood pulp, a certain proportion of coniferous pulp is generally added to enhance the toughness of the paper; waste paper pulp is the pulp selected after recycling and soaked in In warm water, it is remade into paper pulp and used again; there are three main types of non-wood pulp: Heke fiber raw material pulp (such as straw, wheat straw, reed, bamboo, bagasse, etc.), bast fiber raw material pulp (such as hemp, kenaf, etc.) , flax, mulberry, cotton swab bark, etc.). And wool fiber raw material pulp (such as cotton fiber, etc.).

     3. Papermaking

Papermaking involves dispersing paper pulp into a uniform sheet. Paper products are usually divided into cultural paper, packaging bags, household paper, special paper, etc.: (1) Cultural paper includes all printing and writing papers, mainly including newsprint, non-coated cultural paper (offset paper, writing paper, light paper, electrostatic paper copy paper, etc.). and coated cultural paper (usually copper paper); (2) Packaging paper includes all paper packaging raw materials, mainly including cardboard (white board paper, white board paper, corrugated paper, box board paper, kraft paper, etc.); (3) Daily use Paper (toilet paper, diapers, etc.); (4) Special paper.

Cultural paper refers to writing and printing paper used to spread cultural knowledge. It is mainly used for information transmission and cultural inheritance. It mainly includes three categories: uncoated printing paper, printing paper and newsprint.

Wrapping paper refers to a kind of paper used for packaging purposes. It is generally used for outer packaging in downstream home appliances, daily chemicals, food industry, tobacco and other fields. The main paper types for packaging bags include corrugated paper, box paper, white board paper and white cardboard.

Household paper is mainly divided according to usage scenarios. Household paper is generally paper used in daily life scenes. From the perspective of the target market structure of household paper, toilet paper is the most important product of household paper.
